What are inicioPages

Oracle Health offers MPages as way to customise the display of Millennium data at the Organiser or Chart level within the PowerChart framework. MPages is a combination of two technologies; CCL and HTML.

The PowerChart framework allows the creation of custom components based on user role. The custom component invokes a CCL script which performs a Cerner Millennium data query and returns to the PowerChart framework to the Millennium data embedded within HTML code.

The custom component simply renders the HTML (like any internet browser), allowing for a custom display of Cerner Millennium data. Information stored in systems outside of Cerner Millennium can also be presented in custom components within PowerChart by using APIs.

Case Study

Milton Keynes University Hospital (MKUH) has successfully implemented a ground-breaking digital solution for infant jaundice charting, developed in collaboration with inicio health. This solution, known as the hyperbilirubinemia inicioPage, was launched in December 2023 (article here), achieving full adoption within just three days. The initiative aimed to address the limitations of manual, paper-based charting for managing jaundice in newborns, particularly those born prematurely. Prior to the launch, 100% of charting was completed on paper, manually, leading to inefficiencies and potential clinical risk. The newly integrated digital chart within the hospital’s Oracle Cerner EMR has not only streamlined the process but also enhanced the quality of care for some of the NHS’s youngest patients

Dynamic Forms

Our Dynamic Forms MPage allows for the digitisation of any form within your organisation. Experience full autonomy to create via our inbuilt web designer which empowers easy decision logic, e-consent and co-sign functionality.

Finalised documentation is committed back to the patient chart alongside existing clinical documentation. Included with Dynamic Forms is a powerful form and document builder so you can create as many new forms as you like.

Dynamic Forms demonstrates significant benefits and ROI for any healthcare organisation deploying the solution. Not only does it remove significant risk of some patient notes remaining on paper ensuring clinicians always have the right information, it is also able to return a significant financial ROI.

Scanning costs in organisations are high and typically exceed £500m per annum, with some healthcare organisations spending in excess of £4m per annum. Coupled with the improvement in patient safety and Dynamic Forms becomes a powerful addition to any organisations tool belt.

Dynamic Forms also includes our digital consent module and included within the solution are three pre-built consent modules.

Infant Charting

Jaundice affects an estimated 3 out of 5 babies (and 4 out of every 5 for babies born before the 37th week of pregnancy). When babies are affected bilirubin levels are charted to identify if further treatment is required. This process is currently performed using manual charting.

Manual charting puts pressure on clinical teams to use paper to map bilirubin levels and takes time to complete as results must be manually looked up within the clinical systems. This manual process carries human error risk and results in paper charts being used alongside a patient’s digital record.inicio’s hyperbilirubinemia MPage alleviates the pressure on clinical teams by fully automating the process and ensures that graphing is immediate, automatic, and always available.

Critical Care

Our Critical Care MPage provides customised charting views to reduce burdens on clinical teams at the bedside.

Our advanced graphing abilities allow the display of live metrics to the EMR.

By grouping all the right metrics and providing the data within the EMR, clinicians are able to get a granular lens into patient care.

CritCare is also available for wallboards outside of the EMR for end of bed or wall screens
